About SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS

Visit the Sling Media Online Store to purchase. If you already purchased SlingPlayer Mobile, just re-enter your Registration Key when prompted.
Download to your Desktop
Windows Installation Instructions
- Begin downloading SlingPlayer Mobile by clicking the download link on the left.
- Locate the downloaded file named SlingPlayer-Mobile-Palm-1.0.1.prc and drag and drop it onto the Palm Quick Install application. (Make sure that you select Handheld as the installation destination.)
- Perform a HotSync on your Palm. The SlingPlayer installer called SlingInstall will be placed in the Multimedia category of applications.
- Open SlingInstall on your Palm and follow the on-screen instructions to finish installing SlingPlayer Mobile onto your handheld.
Mac Installation Instructions
- Begin downloading SlingPlayer Mobile by clicking the download link on the left.
- Locate the downloaded file named SlingPlayer-Mobile-Palm-1.0.1.prc and double-click on it.
- When the Install Handheld Files application launches, make sure that you select Handheld as the installation destination.
- Perform a HotSync on your Palm. SlingInstall will be installed in the Multimedia category of applications.
- Open SlingInstall on your Palm and follow the on-screen instructions to finish installing SlingPlayer Mobile onto your handheld.
Download Direct to your Phone
Using your phone's web browser, visit http://www.slingmedia.com and select the download option for your phone.
The following devices have been tested and work with SlingPlayer Mobile.
While these devices are supported by SlingPlayer Mobile, we strongly recommend you connect to your Slingbox using a 3G cellular connection that meets our minimum network download speed requirements of 120Kbps for optimal viewing experience.

We've received reports that some users have been able to get the
application running on other Palm devices. While the SlingPlayer
Mobile for Palm can install and run on a
range of Palm devices, your viewing experience may not always be
optimal and will vary depending on your device's capabilities and your
phone's network data plan and supported speeds.
The SlingPlayer Mobile for Symbian has a 30-day free trial period, so please, try it on your phone, with your data plan before you buy it.
Slingbox Requirements
- Slingbox with latest firmware (Note: The latest version of SlingPlayer for the Desktop has a firmware version that meets this minimum requirement)
- Remote viewing enabled
- A high-speed (broadband) Internet connection of at least 256Kb upload speed
Computer System Requirements
A Windows or Mac OS computer on a home network with latest version of SlingPlayer desktop application installed (for setting up remote viewing for Slingbox).
Device Requirements
- Palm® Treo™ 700p or 755p smartphone with 3G (EVDO) wireless service
- Palm® Centro™ smartphone with 3G (EVDO) wireless service
- 1.2 MB free memory on device to install
